Capacity-efficient Planning of Resilient Networks with p-Cycles
The p-Cycle concept is an efficient way to protect the network traffic against failures of network elements. We present the methods and issues related to network planning, management and operations of p-Cycles and highlight the advantages using this concept. Furthermore we report efficiency results of a case-study of the deployment of p-Cycles in Wavelength Divison Multiplex (WDM) networks.
متن کاملResilient Distribution System by Forming/coupling Microgrids in Extreme Contigencies
The ability of the distribution system to efficiently withstand low-probability, high-impact events; while enabling a quick recovery and restoration to the normal state is interpreted as resiliency. Microgrids with distributed generation (DG) provide a resilient solution in the case of major faults in a distribution system due to natural disasters. Microgrids could be formed to supply the maxim...

Now, we will show you the new habit that, actually it's a very old habit to do that can make your life more qualified. When feeling bored of always chatting with your friends all free time, you can find the book enPDF grid resource management on demand provisioning adva...
متن کاملImitative Learning for Online Planning in Microgrids
This paper aims to design an algorithm dedicated to operational planning for microgrids in the challenging case where the scenarios of production and consumption are not known in advance. Using expert knowledge obtained from solving a family of linear programs, we build a learning set for training a decision-making agent. The empirical performances in terms of Levelized Energy Cost (LEC) of the...
متن کاملResilient infrastructure for network security
Present day network security mechanisms are based on preventing attacks and responding to them as they occur. In the time before a response is implemented the attack is generally free to damage the system. Since responses are usually human driven, this time is long and the damage can be large. One way to minimise this damage is to create “resilient infrastructure”. This is infrastructure that a...
